The City of Calgary has a population of around 850,000, and stands at an altitude of 1,049m. The weather in Calgary varies qu ite dramatically, from lows reaching -40C  in the winter, to highs in excess of 32C in the summer. Calgary has what's know to calgarians as "chinook winds". Warm air from the mountains during the winter which can cause the temperature to rise by more than 15C in just a few hours helping out alot in the winter time.

Calgary has many wonderful restaurants and tourist places to see. The Calgary Tower once the biggest structure in Calgary, now stands among the many new buildings here, and has a five star restaurant at the top that rotates to see the city while you dine. 

 

Calgary has become one of the fastest growing cities in North America. Once an oil city, Calgary now has many diverse interests. From Agriculture to High Tech, Education to Real Estate, it all merges, making Calgary a very well rounded city. People are coming from all over the world to start new lifestyles and invest in their futures, because Calgary is growing so fast. Calgary is also home of the world famous Calgary Stampede and rodeo. Every year hundreds of thousands of people come to Calgary to experience the Stampede and exhibition.
